Corn down 9, beans down 20

With 2 farmers in the pickup this is the conversation on the way to the airport. Not zebras, elephants and baboons....just grain and livestock. Soon cell coverage will be no longer and then the zebras will earn their place as the topic of conversation. With farmers it isn't always all black and white you know.

Everything got packed, right down to the saran wrapped lasso. We didn't opt to put that in our carry-on, though the thought of being able to have the flight attendants come a few minutes faster with our small white bags was a lovely idea. It feels like winning the lottery to get the checked bags on with no raised eyebrows. Security didn't go quite as smoothly, however. Don was pulled aside so the agent could have a conversation about his backpack. The conversation didn't seem to have a lot of words, more of a nonverbal kind of conversation. A small bottle of bug spray was enough to call in for backup. No handcuffs were used but we are minus one bug spray. In our defense Joyce did respond, "Well, it would be just a LITTLE bomb." (she said this quietly to us and not to Derek and Joe who by now had hands on hips, letting us know how seriously they take their deet). Something tells me this isn't going to be the only time where people we come in contact with ask, "What are you DOING???!!"
